We love all of the places listed below.  If you get the chance – check them out and get to know the people inside the doors.

Central Market, Austin – You can find a GREAT variety of wine and some really GREAT deals.  Check out the guys at the North Lamar location!

Gabriels, San Marcos  – Go by and meet Nathan – he runs a first class operation with lots and lots to choose from.

Grape Juice, Kerrville – Patrick and Keri are super neat people.  We have been blessed to witness their shop grow from a cozy little place in Ingram to a much larger operation in downtown Kerrville.  They give back to the community and not only have great wine, but out of this world food and beers.  As Patrick always reminds us – at the end of the day, it’s only Grape Juice.

H-E-B, anywhere! –  You can’t go wrong with some of the deals they have.  Some stores have better selections that others.

Kroger, anywhere! (or as Jean’s family says  K Roger) – yes, you can find some really good deals at the grocery store.  Since sister Sara is a bigwig with Kroger, have to give her a plug.

Specs – all locations!  Without a doubt the grandaddy of all stores is the Smith Street location in downtown Houston – but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

The Main, Kerrville – We can’t say enough great things about Peter and Cynthia.  We’ve known them since our daughters met in 6th grade.  Peter’s in-home classes taught us so much about wine and how to really sniff out what we like.  The Main has a great variety of wine, beer, cheeses, meats and other goodies.  They are very supportive of the community and are always willing to share what they have.

Twin Liquors – all of them! – In San Marcos go see Ryan or Raymond (they are at the new location near H-E-B). In Austin, the 41st Street store is AWESOME.  A tip of the hat to Sandra for her friendship and partnership on work related projects!
